Melila Purcell, III (born February 5, 1984 in Pago Pago, American Samoa) is an American football defensive end who is currently a free agent. He was drafted by the Browns in the sixth round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He played college football at Hawaii.

He played high school football at Leone High School in Leone, American Samoa.
He played college football at the University of Hawaii, where he played in 48 games making 208 tackles and 19 sacks.
Purcell was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the sixth round (200th overall) in the 2007 NFL Draft. He was a member of the practice squad for the first 16 weeks of his rookie season and was activated to the team for the final regular season game against the San Francisco 49ers on December 30. He remained on the practice squad for the 2008 season.
Following the 2008 season, Purcell was re-signed to a future contract by the Browns on December 30, 2008. He was waived/injured on August 24, 2009.
He is a cousin of former San Diego Chargers Alvis Satele and current NFL players Samson Satele and Hercules Satele. His brother, Amani Purcell, also played with him at Hawaii.
